View All Critic Reviews Aug 26, When Carmen Cortez gets trapped in a virtual reality game by a nefarious villain known as the Toymaker, her brother Juni goes into the game in an attempt to rescue her and shut it down.

Surprisingly, Daryl Sabara who's been one of the weaker actors of the series really steps up and does a fairly decent job at carrying the film. And, Sylvester Stallone is especially good, playing multiple characters, and pulling off the comedy remarkably well. The special effects however, are really cheesy, but kind of work given that the game takes place in a virtual environment. Still, a lot of the 3D comes off as hokey.

Dann M Super Reviewer. Aug 06, The third installment should have been avoided immediately from the subtitle Game Over. Spy Kids 3-D strays away from its usual flare and is blatantly cliche and is only attainable as a visual decent film. Other than its somewhat-ineffective 3-D effects as well as its addition to supporting roles, the film has nothing else going for it 2.

Eugene B Super Reviewer. Jan 13, When I watch a movie, I want to see a movie. Not a video game. Bram S Super Reviewer. Dec 02, What a horrible movie, its an embarassment to the cool franchise. This story was completely borig, idiotic, and dull, with new characters that will bore the hell out of you. I still love the first 2, but this was completely awful. Bradley W Super Reviewer. Under-age agents Juni and Carmen Cortez set out on their newest most mind-blowing mission yet: journeying inside the virtual reality world of a 3-D video game designed to outsmart them, as the awe-inspiring graphics and creatures of gaming come to real life.

Relying on humor, gadgetry, bravery, family bonds and lightning-quick reflexes, the Spy Kids must battle through tougher and tougher levels of the game, facing challenges that include racing against road warriors and surfing on boiling lava, in order to save the world from a power hungry villain.

The Game is over. Rated PG for action sequences and peril. Did you know Edit. Trivia George Clooney 's scenes were shot in one afternoon in his own living room, in a suit jacket, shirt, tie and pajama pants. However, when the boys get to the mega race in Level 2, a character says that there are no rules in the mega race.

Quotes Juni : I never even got her e-mail address! Crazy credits The closing credits include outtakes with the cast and crew, including a moment when Sylvester Stallone goes into his Rocky persona mid-scene. User reviews Review. Top review. A disappointing end to the series. The 3D gimmick was unnecessary and not that effective.
