I would assume this would be done in the setup. If this cannot be done i can certainly put a XP test machine online for me to dial into and install MSDE 2k as well but it would have an existing session on it and i would need to find out how to name the instance before msde installed. We found something on a MS site that indirectly indicated you could upgrade the MSDE to SQL Express and then upgrade Express to the full version of , but that method created quite a bit of problems System databases , which we were not able to resolve short of uninstalling MSDE and the apps and installing SQL and re-installing the apps; but I have to believe there is a better way.
